The round table discussion, “A Dialogue for our Time,” which included our Muslim friends from the Willingboro Mosque was the most relevant; impactful, spirited, and emotional Men’s Club Brunch that I can remember. Moderated by Rabbi David, the panel included David Snyder – Executive Director of the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC), Amy Clayton – JCRC President, and Imam Rizwan Kahn of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Willingboro. News coverage from NBC, CBS, and Fox reported the event.
Our Party Fair in early March was a huge success as it showcased over 20 vendors, including country clubs, hotels, DJ’s and entertainment companies, caterers, photographers, invitations, and much more. The attendance from our Adath Community, and especially the upcoming B’nai Mitzvah families was impressive as many of our vendors commented.
We are proud to be sponsors of the up-coming Rabbi Richard A. Levine Awards Dinner, and to be catering the brunch for the Scholar-in-Residence weekend. That is sure to be a wonderful weekend.
Men’s Club will be facilitating a Red Cross Blood Drive on May 7th to help save lives in our community. Please contact Evan Levine, our Social Action Chair, to register.
We have purchased tickets for an outing to the Phillies game on Tuesday, May 9th (Dollar Dog Night), as the Phillies will take on the Seattle Mariners; please contact Wayne Wolfson to re-serve seats. There are only 50 tickets and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
Men’s Club is also coordinating a trip to Cooperstown, NY (Home of the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame) during the weekend of June 9th to 11th. This will be a very informal weekend, with attendees visiting the Hall at their leisure, cookouts, and Havdalah services by the lake. We are hoping that you will join us for the weekend, or just for a day or two. This trip is open to your entire family, not just Men’s Club. For hotel accommodation recommendations and more information, please contact Wayne Wolfson.
Over the past month, Men’s Club has contributed financially to the Adath Emanu-El Endowment Fund, the Digital Piano Fund, the Rabbi Richard A. Levine Award Dinner, and to Camp Scholarships to 10 of our community youth members. We are proud to be a thriving part of our Adath Community and to contribute in a myriad of ways.
