As we close out April, Men’s Club was proud to be a sponsor for the Rabbi Richard A. Levine Kehilla Awards Dinner. Congratulations to all of the award winners and to those who coordinated a magnificent event.

Also, we were happy to cater the Scholar-in-Residence brunch — what a wonderful weekend!! Men’s Club is looking forward to a May and June that will finish off this fiscal year with a bang. Our Red Cross Blood Drive will be on May 7th. Please come out and donate blood to help save lives in our community.

We are facilitating a trip to the Phillies Game (Dollar Dog Night – Phillies vs. Seattle Mariners) on Tuesday, May 9th; we have limited tickets still available. Please contact Wayne Wolfson for information.

We are excited to finish off the religious school year with a Congregational Picnic. Yes, everyone is invited even if you do not have children in religious school. This will be a great time for the entire family. Men’s Club will be grilling; there will be games and activities. We are working closely with YAC and Sisterhood to make this year-end event spectacular.

Our trip to Cooperstown (Major League Baseball’s Hall of Fame) is shaping up to be a weekend that you won’t want to miss. This is the second weekend in June. We are planning to spend time at the Hall of Fame, have cookouts and Havdalah by the lake. It will be a very informal weekend but a great time to be had. We welcome all and it is not necessary to commit to the entire weekend to be part of this. Please contact Wayne Wolfson for accommodation suggestions and general information.

The Men’s Club nominating committee has been working hard to identify leaders and potential candidates to comprise next year’s Men’s Club Board. Our slate of candidates is shaping up nicely and I am excited to see what our future leadership will look like. Programming and our calendar committee are working to schedule the calendar of events and activities for the next fiscal year. Thank you to all of the planning and current effort that make achieving our future goals possible.

Norman Godfrey,

Men’s Club President
